How to Delete Your Account
You have two options to delete your Pet Pawty account:
Option 1: Delete from within the App
You can delete your account directly from the Pet Pawty app:
- Open the Pet Pawty app
- Go to Settings
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Follow the confirmation steps
Option 2: Email Support
Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing us:
- Send an email to support@highlowstudios.com
- Include the email address associated with your account
- Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
- We will process your request within 48 hours
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information is permanently removed:
- Your account information (name, email, profile photo)
- Your user profile and settings
- Households you created that have no other members
- All pets and their photos in households that get deleted
What Gets Transferred
To preserve data for other household members:
- Households you own with other members: ownership transfers to a co-owner, or the longest-standing member
- Your pets in households owned by others: transferred to the household owner
- Your pets in households you own: transferred to the new owner when ownership transfers
What Gets Anonymized
Some data is anonymized rather than deleted to preserve health records:
- All health logs you created are anonymized (your identity is removed)
- Health logs remain visible to household members to preserve pet health history
- Your activity in households (joins, invites, changes) is anonymized
- Anonymized data cannot be traced back to you or restored
Important Notes
Please be aware that:
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- You will need to re-authenticate with Google or Apple to confirm deletion
- If you own households with other members, ownership will transfer automatically
- Your pets in shared households will transfer to the household owner
- Health logs you created will be anonymized but remain in the app for other household members
- If you are the only member of a household, all data in that household will be permanently deleted
- After deletion, you can create a new account, but your previous data cannot be recovered
